I bought this remote new and it has served me well. The pronto series remotes, and especially this one, the ProntoPro,
are remotes that use a touch screen instead of fixed hard buttons.
You use your computer to design the user interface of each device and upload the configuration to the remote using the supplied serial cable.

This one is in good condition with no major scratches or blemishes as you can see from the pictures.
The battery is still holding charge well, probably about a week or so of normal use.

Full disclosure : There are two issues with this remote:, the first one is that the input on the remote control for the serial cable has a pretty poor
connection so that in order to connect it to the computer reliably you put the remote in the cradle
and connect the serial cable to the cradle - once you put it in the cradle the connection is flawless.
You only connect the remote to the computer when you program it initially, so this has no impact on day to day use.
The second issue is that the remote can easily crash when the tilt sensor is engaged.
The tilt sensor turns on the back-lit display when you move the remote in a certain angle.
When this happens the remote typically beeps once, then reboots and is up and running again a few seconds later.
If you turn off the tilt sensor this doesn't seem to happen very often.
When the tilt sensor is off you just have to lightly touch the screen to turn on the display.
The hard buttons are always active and are not impacted by the tilt sensor.
You should know that both these issues have been with the remote since day one but since they
didn't affect me that much I never cared about it.
